How it works

From sign-up to meeting

  1. 01
    Open Sarafun
    The “Take part” button opens the Sarafun bot in Telegram, and the bot opens the mini-app in the Random Coffee section. Nothing to download.
  2. 02
    Fill in two forms
    First, a Sarafun profile — you need it to take part. Then a short Random Coffee form: how you’ll come to the meeting and who you’d like to meet.
  3. 03
    Join a round
    Rounds run city by city. While sign-up is open, tap “Take part” in the section (“Участвовать” in the Russian interface). The bot will message you when a new round opens in your city.
  4. 04
    Meet up
    The bot tells you who your match is and when to meet. Message them in Telegram, agree on a place, and afterwards mark whether you met.

Before you sign up

  • You need a Telegram @username
    That’s how your match can message you. Without one you can’t join a round.
  • Your match is from your city
    Matching is among people who joined your city’s round. If no match is found, you get priority in the next round.
  • No repeat meetings
    You won’t be paired again with someone you’ve already met. You can mark people you already know — they won’t be suggested.
  • Your match comes from the bot
    @sarafun_app_bot sends your match and meeting details in a private message. If you block it from messaging you, you can’t take part.

Common questions

Yes. Random Coffee is a section of the Sarafun app, so you’ll need a Sarafun profile first and then the Random Coffee form. The profile also opens up the rest: events, requests, sharing.
